The Delaware Office of Highway Safety issued a press release stating that DUI checkpoints are scheduled for Newport and Rehoboth Beach Friday, August 30, 2013. It should be noted that DelawareOnline, as of the time of this post, was reporting that the checkpoints will be in Newark and Rehoboth. We believe that this is incorrect. The actual press release from the State indicates it is Newport, not Newark.

Motorists should avoid parties, restaurants and bars in Newport and Rehoboth Beach if there is a chance they will be driving.
